DALLAS (Sept. 12, 2022) – Original ChopShop continues to reinforce its mission to inspire others to ‘Just Feel Good’ this fall.

The emerging better-for-you brand that features protein bowls, salads (“chops”), sandwiches, breakfast items, fresh juice and more is introducing new mental health resources for all team members along with new feel-good menu items to give guests additional convenient options to fuel their well-being.

Beginning this month, the neighborhood eatery is implementing an all-new employee assistance program – completely free to team members – through an innovative partnership with Espyr. Within the program, every team member will gain access to tools and resources to support their mental and emotional well-being along with financial advice, legal assistance and professional training. Most notably, the program will also provide every team member, both full- and part-time, with three free mental health counseling sessions per year. This program is above and beyond the health, dental and vision benefits that are available to full-time team members. 

“At Original ChopShop, inspiring others to just feel good is at the core of everything that we do – and our focus starts with our team,” said CEO Jason Morgan. “Each day, our team sets out to create thousands of feel-good moments for guests within our Shops, so we wanted to do something to inspire our team to feel good in return. We know that mental health is one of the biggest contributing factors to how a person feels and we hope these enhanced benefits will help each of our team members ‘feel good’ in a more significant way.”

The neighborhood eatery is also spreading the positive energy with guests by offering Feel Good Fam Bundles and its newly chopped salad – The Greek-ish – beginning Sept. 13. This new menu item features house greens, chickpeas, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, feta, banana peppers, cucumbers and onion, all chopped-in-Shop, and topped off with a refreshing house-made lemon vinaigrette. 

The brand has also set out to make it easier and faster for families to enjoy a nutritious dinnertime meal together with its new Feel Good Fam Bundles. The bundles are fit for “Every/Body” and can be modified to meet the dietary needs and preferences of every member of the family. The Quad Bundle allows guests to pick any four bowls, salads or sandwiches for just $39.50. The Two by Two Bundle includes the choice of two bowls, salads or sandwiches along with two kids’ meals for $29.50.

DALLAS (June 14, 2022) – Original ChopShop, a better-for-you, fast casual brand featuring protein bowls, salads, sandwiches, breakfast items, fresh squeezed juice and more, is inspiring its team to “Just Feel Good” with a bolstered benefits package and a new, trailblazing professional development program.

The company has introduced two added benefits that invest in its leader’s financial future and reward tenure with the brand. Those benefits include a 401k plan with a 4% company match and a “Years of Service” bonus, which rewards general managers with a $20,000 bonus for five years of service, a $4,000 bonus each year from six to nine and another $20,000 at year 10. 

The addition of these benefits builds on an already unique compensation program rooted in its leader’s personal development plans. In 2019, the brand scrapped the traditional annual performance review and focused its attention on tying merit increases to developing leadership skills. 

“We believe behaviors drive results,” said COO Kyle Frederick. “If the right behaviors are in place, the results will naturally follow. This new merit process affords our leaders with the opportunity to earn up to four salary increases per year. These changes bring our average general manager salary, bonus, and benefits package to $100,000 annually.”

This new program allows team members to map out their career plans and understand growth opportunities in partnership with their leaders. HOUSTON (Feb. 2, 2022) – The River Oak’s community will soon have a new go-to destination for “Feel Good Food” when Original ChopShop, an emerging brand featuring protein bowls, salads (“chops”), sandwiches, breakfast items, fresh-squeezed juice and more, opens its second Houston Shop at 3021 Kirby Drive on Wednesday, Feb. 9!

The new restaurant will mark the brand’s ninth location in Texas and 17th systemwide. It is situated in the heart of the River Oaks neighborhood at the corner of W. Alabama St. and Kirby Lane, giving Houstonians a new better-for-you option for “Every/Body.” The River Oaks Shop will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

To celebrate its grand opening, the neighborhood eatery is giving all guests that visit on Feb. 9 a $10 Original ChopShop gift card to use on a future order. The giveaway will start at 7 a.m. and continue while supplies last, so Houstonians are encouraged to stop by the Shop early!  

As part of its commitment to help community members “Fuel Their Well-Being,” Original ChopShop is also hosting a fundraiser for Brighter Bites on grand opening day.
